Why did you choose Santa Clara?
I chose Santa Clara because of the family feel a player gets the minute you walk through the locker room. Also the direction I believe the program is going, and the great coaches.
What draws you to baseball? What is special about the college game?
I’m drawn to baseball because it was something that I grew up with and is my first love. Baseball is a game of failure and with great failure comes great success. It is a game like no other and is the hardest sport to play. The college game is special because everyone in the opposing line-up is the best of their high school so the competition is beyond anything that I’ve ever played.
Who is your favorite guy on the team to compete with? To compete against? Why?
I love to compete with Kenny Treadwell because I believe he has a lot to offer to my mental game. I love competing against Jake Stephens because we have a good relationship and can push each other beyond what we think we can do

I would give a good chunk to a charity foundation and probably buy a ridiculous house with a custom Audi R8

I want to be playing major league baseball
What does your ideal day look like?
Wake up, have a cup of coffee with breakfast, go to the gym play some catch and then just spend the rest of the day relaxing.
What’s the #1 item on your Bucket List?
The number one thing on my bucket list is to skydive.
