Why did you choose Santa Clara?

What draws you to baseball? What makes it appealing to you? What is special about the college game?
Baseball challenges me to face adversity head on. My last two years at Santa Clara I have struggled as a pitcher; however, through my failures, I have learned a lot about myself as a player. Baseball exposed my weaknesses and forced me to get better at them. What makes the college game so special is the competition amongst teammates pushing everyone to come to the yard everyday wanting to get better.
Who is your favorite guy on the team to compete with? To compete against? Why?
My favorite guy to compete with would be Nick Medeiros because he brings an intensity to the game that I admire. My favorite guy to compete against would be Kenny Treadwell because although I’ll never be able to lift as much as him, I’d like to think I’m getting better by trying to.
