Why did you choose Santa Clara?
I chose Santa Clara because of baseball mainly. I liked the location, distance from home and the weather. Lastly, I like the academics.

What draws you to baseball? What makes it appealing to you? What is special about the college game?
The excitement and passion that baseball brings to my life. I love how enjoyable it is especially when your successful, but also the tools i have learned to use when i do not succeed. It builds strong friendships and bonds a team. The special thing about a college game is how competitive and exciting it is.

How has the fall season gone for the team and you personally?
I think the fall has been very good. We have learned a lot and are starting to understand what we need to do to be a successful team. For me it had been a good learning experience, I have learned a lot more and am starting to think about little things in the game I never knew or thought about before.

Who is your favorite guy on the team to compete with? To compete against? Why?
Hash is my favorite teammate to compete with and against. When were competing together he is always going 100 percent at all times. I like to compete against him because he always does a real good job and pushes me to beat him and do my best.

  1. Good luck this year. We Madoles are pulling for you. Stay focused on the thing that matters: Christ. If you don’t college can run away from you really quickly. If you do, school, baseball, family, friends and future will take care of itself. If you ever make your way to North Carolina let us know.
