Why did you choose Santa Clara?
This is the school that best sets up my future and creates the most opportunities for myself. Santa Clara appealed to both the environment I wanted to be in providing an opportunity to play Baseball beyond High School. In addition I heard great facts about the school from many of my friends.
What draws you to baseball? What is special about the college game?
What draws me to baseball is the fact that not everybody can play the game, thus making it a challenge that keeps getting harder the farther you go. In addition the fact that any team can beat any other team on any given day, making everybody on every team striving to get better every day because no matter what team you’re on you can still lose. What’s special about the college game is how important the small ball, running game, and momentum of the game play in the outcome of every game, providing opportunities for literally anybody to change the outcome of any given game.
How has the fall season gone for the team and you personally?
The fall has gone very good with the incorporation of the new beliefs and philosophy’s that the new program has obtained. The team is fully confident and believing in the new program which has enhanced the camaraderie of the team and provided a more efficient player developing environment. As for myself, the fall has been great in furthering my skills as a baseball player as well as enriching my baseball philosophy and living values in general.
Who is your favorite guy on the team to compete with? To compete against? Why?
Tommy, Brock, and Jason are my favorite players to compete against because they are always pitching with complete conviction and control the aspects of the game extremely well. James Smith is my favorite to compete with because he pushes himself just as much as I push myself and when competing with him we both push each other.

- Jordan Barton – on the basketball court and eating
- Seamus McInerney – intelligence
- Ward Fansler – Arm wrestling, and who could throw the farthest (back in the day)
- Logan Fansler – boxing
5 people, living or dead, to have coffee with?
- Jack Black

- Robin Williams
- Randy Johnson
- Babaji Bob Kindler
What would you do with a billion dollars?
I would pay for my college, all of my siblings college tuitions, give my parents enough money so they could retire and not worry about anything for the rest of their lives, I’d put 50 million away for my family and children’s children, I’d put 25 million away for my retirement fund, I’d make sure my grandma had no worries and could have anything she wanted, I’d give each one of my siblings 25 million but they still have to go to college and get a bachelors in a field they loved, and I’d save the rest of the money helping everybody who has helped me in my life and will in the future help myself with any problems I will confront.
#1 on your Bucket List?
My #1 thing to do before my body dies is to take each of my siblings and parents to wherever they’d like to go (individually or all together) in the world and have the times of our lives.
What’s your ideal 1st date? Who? What? Where?
With a woman I haven’t met yet, we’d go skydiving in Hawaii (land on the beach), then go scuba diving and swim with some dolphins, eat at a local restraint that in known for its homemade feeling, go on a hike passing multiple waterfalls and jump off one of the waterfalls into a clear lake/eddy region, then finish the hike to the top of the mountain where we admire the view and then sip-line down to an area where we get picked up and brought to a restaurant for dinner that is a mix between Yosemite Ranch and Pismo Joes, then after dinner we are brought back to my house with all my siblings and have a great time playing around and relaxing over my grandma’s blackberry pie and “oops” brownies.
